The RedBee RFID reader adds some great features to the standard RFID tags. The RedBee allows you to use the module as a standalone reader (no PC needed) and also broadcast over an XBee network. You can even store up to 48 unique IDs! Impress your friends or deny people access to your hobby room with your very own RFID system. We also carry the Experimenters Kit which includes the RedBee reader, 13 various RFID tags, and a project CD with 5 projects for you to play around with.
You might notice this board looks quite like the UAV V2, but without all those vertical gyro boards. The new V3 uses two dual axis IXZ500 gyros (for a slimmer profile) that have enough vibration tolerance to be used in RC helicopter applications. So if you've been waiting to use the UAV development board for your helicopter, this is the board for you!
If you want your projects to have a little bit of 'pop' to them, you might want to check out Processing. It's an open source programming language and environment for people who want to create images, animations, and interactions. You can use this to interact with your hardware for visual feedback, graphical interfaces, or just make random beeps and blinking lights. In any event, you might want to pick up this book.
The LMZ14203 breakout board allows you to use anything from 8-42V to supply either 3.3 or 5V (switchable). So you can supply up to 3A with this board, which should give you some flexibility for your high-power projects!
The ShiftBrite is an RGB LED with a simple serial interface that allows you to produce billions of colors. That's not a typo, it's billions, not millions. Pretty swell, huh? Feed it 5.5 to 9V, send it some code and you're ready to stare at it and see spots for awhile. It's fun for the whole family.
When we discontinued our MEMS microphone breakout, we heard from some people who were none-too-pleased. Well, it's back now! This board features the ADMP401 IC. It's small, easy to use, and all soldered up and ready to go.
If you haven't yet played around with wearable electronics, you might want to check it out. We now carry some simple LED boards for the LilyPad which allow you to use your own 5mm LED to make a LilyPad LED board. We sell these in packs of 10, so you can get a head start on that Halloween costume, or make your own Daft Punk helmet!
Last week we announced our new version of the graphic OLED carrier board. We now have enough stock of the bare OLED for sale on our site. You can now get it with or without the carrier board.
