Today we are talking about a new SparkFun class offering called "Introduction to Microcontrollers for Educators." Over the course of this two day class, we will also discuss making teaching tools, soldering or sewing electronics and tapping into free Open Source Educational communities. You'll learn skills you can apply in your classroom whether you teach High School, Middle School or even Elementary School!

Topics we will cover in this class include:

  • Electrical Schematic Basics
  • Using a Multimeter
  • How the SparkFun Inventor's Kit Circuits Work
  • Sensors and Outputs
  • Soldering or Sewing Electronics
  • Beginning Programming Concepts
  • Differentiated Programming Environments
