Released last Friday, the SparkFun Qwiic WAV Trigger Pro adds a totally new experience in audio integration. This compact controller redefines how you interact with sound, offering unparalleled flexibility and control for makers, musicians, and sound enthusiasts alike. The WAV Trigger Pro supports up to 4096 uncompressed 16-bit, 44.1kHz WAV files, delivering crystal-clear CD-quality audio. Play and mix up to 24 tracks simultaneously with incredibly low latency (2-3ms typical). Trigger audio playback via eight programmable inputs, I2C (Qwiic), or MIDI (USB or Serial UART).

Functioning as both a USB MIDI device and host, the WAV Trigger Pro opens a world of possibilities! In USB MIDI Host mode, it can even power a connected MIDI device (up to 500mA@5V) directly, eliminating the need for a computer. With newly added Presets, you can define up to eight actions per MIDI note based on channel and velocity, allowing for complex sound mixing and velocity switching.
