Introducing the Macchina OBDII 3-Way Breakout and rugged metal push buttons are back!

Hello everyone and welcome back to another Friday Product Post here at SparkFun Electronics! This week, we have both new and returning products that are sure to help with your development and control projects. We start with Macchina's new OBDII 3-Way Breakout that has been designed to help out with multipurpose OBD2 Development. We follow that up with re-introducing our Momentary and Latching Metal Push Buttons (both with and without pre-attached wire leads) in multiple LED color options! Let's jump in and take a closer look at this week's new products!

Macchina OBD-II 3-Way Breakout

This OBD2 Breakout board is designed to simplify OBD2 device development. The junction blocks gives you the flexibility to change how signals move between connectors. Install a jumper wire between rows to make "through" connections, or jump over to other pins to rearrange signals. The board can function in several "modes" by altering how the signals route through the system.


Metal Pushbutton with Wires - Momentary (16mm, Red)

This is a perfect choice if you are in need of a heavy duty push button! These metal push buttons are a very tough, small, panel-mount momentary switch with an illuminated LED ring. It is a SPDT with 16mm threading and 1mm pitch. These push buttons come with a latching cable with five leads. Making it easier to attach to breadboards and extend the reach of your project. These buttons are rated up to 3A and 250VAC while the LED is rated for 5-12V. We carry these buttons in the following varieties:

These metal push buttons are exactly like the ones seen above, just without the attached wires. These versions allow YOU to decide how you connect them to your project.
