With a few years of experience, the LIS3DH has proven to be highly reliable! Check it out in its new Qwiic and Qwiic Micro breakout footprints!
Welcome back to another Friday Product Post, everyone! This week, we have a couple of products that will really get you moving. The LIS3DH has been around for almost 10 years now, but it still provides a reliable and accurate 3-axis accelerometer option and now it comes in a standard and micro Qwiic breakout footprint! No more soldering, comprehensive libraries, and your choice of footprint size, either our classic 1in. by 1in. or our 0.75in. x 0.30in. Qwiic Micro. Also this week, we have new solder wick products from ChipQuik! Let's take a closer look.
These SparkFun Triple Axis Accelerometer Breakouts are Qwiic-enabled sensors featuring the LIS3DH, a smart, low-power, three-axis, capacitive micro-machined accelerometer with 12-bit resolution, which you can use to add translation detection to your project. These boards are available in Standard and Micro Qwiic versions. Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) can provide additional space location data, such as gyroscopic or magnetometric data. The LIS3DH on this breakout operates under the same principles but offers a few analog inputs to experiment with, and it includes some built-in movement detection capabilities.
We've covered solder wick before and how vital it is here at SparkFun, and it made us realize that we didn't carry as many options as we would like. So, we fixed that! You can now pick up #3 Green (2mm wide), #4 Light Blue (2.5mm wide), and #4 Blue (2.8mm wide) ChipQuik solder wick, each in 5ft lengths!
That's it for this week at SparkFun. As always, we can't wait to see what you make! Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn. Please be safe out there, be kind to one another! Happy hacking!
