Hello everyone and welcome back to another Friday Product Post here at SparkFun Electronics! It's another big week for us, and that's because we get to add another alchemically awesome Alchitry FPGA to our catalog! The new Pt V2 improves upon the already impressive Au V2 by adding a Xilinx Artix-7 XC7A100T-2FGG84I FPGA and almost doubling the GPIO available! Following that, we have four brand new learn-to-solder kits in the form of planes, a rocket, and a bike. We wrap the week with a new version of Kingston's 64GB microSD card. Let's go!

The Alchitry Pt V2 is a platinum-tier FPGA development board that has been engineered for high-speed performance and compact designs. The Pt V2 is equipped with three times the capacity and almost double the IO as the Au V2 and was designed with a low-profile backside, featuring no components taller than 1.5mm. This enables the use of high-speed 1.5mm stack-height DF40 connectors, allowing you to build incredibly dense and powerful multi-board systems.
As part of the modular Alchitry ecosystem, the Pt stacks with expansion boards called "Elements" to add prototyping spaces, buttons, LEDs, and more. To make a proper physical connection with its high-speed connectors, the Pt requires a Br, Fn, or Sp Element when connecting to an Ft, Ft+, or Hd board. This prevents the connectors from contacting capacitors on the bottom of the Pt.
This Mini Blinking PCB Rocket DIY kit features a rocket-shaped red PCB and includes all parts for assembly: ATtiny microcontroller, 3V CR1632 battery, LEDs, resistors, and a button.
