How to hack a pathway light to make a soil moisture sensor.

Need a fun summer project that can improve your home? Why not build your own soil moisture sensor! All it takes is a pathway light from a hardware/dollar store and some metal probes!

Materials Used:

• Pathway light
• Perf board - with all holes routed together, on both sides

Tools Used:

• Wire
• Soldering Iron
• Solder
• Hot glue gun

Other Materials You Could Use:

• Galvanized nails
• Steel rods
• Copper tape
• Gypsum plaster
