SparkPNT Enters the Next Chapter with FP
The SparkPNT FP line is here to take advantage of the GNSS Flex system, future-proofing all your surveying needs!
Hello everyone and welcome to a most auspicious day here at SparkFun Electronics! Today is special because we have a whole new product line of SparkPNT enclosed GNSS devices that represent the next generation of the Facet surveyor. Meet, the SparkPNT FP! These brand new high-precision GNSS devices future-proof your receiver needs by utilizing the GNSS Flex (aka FP) modules allowing you to swap out the specific module that you may need based on your needs, budget, or location. These new enclosed devices elevate the PNT products we can offer you and what you can start using in the field straight out of the box. Enough introductions, let's take a closer look!

SparkPNT FP products are high-precision GNSS devices built around our modular Flex System of receivers, designed to be entirely repairable and future-proof in addition to a powerful positioning device.
The FPM is the model of the FP that features the mosaic-X5 from Septentrio. When purchased, it will arrive fully assembled with the module inside, ready to be put to work providing mission-critical GNSS with interference protection. The FPM-T, however, features the mosaic-X5 from Septentrio and an integrated IMU for tilt compensation.
The FPX is the model of the FP that features the ZED-X20P from u-blox. Like the FPM and FPM-T, it will arrive fully assembled with the module inside, ready to be put to work as a reliable positioning engine with a strong ecosystem and sensor fusion support. Don't worry, we also have a version with an integrated IMU for tilt compensation represented by the FPX-T.
You next option is the FPL that features the LG290P from Quectel. When purchased, it will arrive fully assembled with the module inside, ready to be put to work and deliver modern multi-frequency RTK positioning at an accessible price point. Like the two above, if you need a version with an integrated IMU for tilt compensation, we recommend checking out the FPL-T.
Our last new enclosed device is the standalone FP. This version will not function as a GNSS receiver unless it's used with a SparkPNT Flex Module giving you the freedom to choose your own adventure when it comes to picking out the perfect module.
We believe users should have total control over the devices they own. These receivers are repairable, user-upgradeable, and use open-source firmware. The FP can be opened up and the module can be fully switched out, all you need is five minutes and a Phillips head screwdriver.
Last up this week, the SparkPNT FP Machine Interface Cable is made exclusively for the SparkPNT FP line of products. Each cable is 1.5m (4.9') long. One end has a 5-pin Lemo style connector, the other end is four bare wires.
