Check out the new products for the week and see what our roof looks like.
Hello everyone and welcome to another Friday New Product Post. This week we have even more new products and a video within a video.
Before we get to the post I'd like to tell everyone that we've been doing a bit of spring cleaning. We found a lot of products that were retired but we still had a few left. We decided to go ahead and sell these at a discount. If you check out the sale category, you can see we've added quite a few new products. Get them before they're gone!
You can check out the Vimeo version here. We were trying to really think of a good way to test the camera, but couldn't come up with much other than the obvious (sticking it to an RC airplane). Throwing it from the roof with grocery bags attached with alligator clips was one of those rare moments when a 'proof of concept' works significantly better than you thought. Surprisingly, I don't think we could have came up with a better parachute system.
So you built a vehicle. That's rad. But what if you want to see what it sees? The FlyCamOne eco V2 is a small embeddable video camera that records directly to a MicroSD card and is easily controlled by your RC radio receiver. The video quality is about the level of a webcam or cell phone.
You've asked for it, and here it is, the MPU-6050 breakout board. We kept it simple and provided you with mounting holes, all the pins broken out and labeled so you can start fusing your sensor data. The MPU-6050 is a triple axis gyro and accelerometer that allows for the integration of a magnetometer for a whole lot of DoFs in a small package.
We have these new pigtails which work with our RGB LED strips. They are 4-pin JST SM connectors and they lock in place nicely. They make using the LED strips a lot easier.
That's all we've got this week. A large shipment just showed up today so I know we'll have even more stuff next week. Thanks for reading and we'll see you back again next week.
