Design It Your Way: Get the Bare RP2350A IC from SparkFun

The signature high-performance, low-cost RP2350 microcontroller is now available as a standalone IC.

Hello, everyone! We have a short but sweet week in terms of new products here at SparkFun Electronics, but we think you'll be pretty excited with what our single product is for the last full week of April 2025. Today, we are happy to announce that we have begun carrying the standalone Raspberry Pi RP2350A microcontroller! This sole IC allows you to decide what sort of design, footprint, or project you incorporate it into, whether you want to make your own Thing+/Feather footprint board, a custom development/evaluation board, or even an enclosed GNSS surveyor. The choice is yours, so take a closer look!

The individual RP2350A IC represents Raspberry Pi’s next-generation microcontroller, which offers a blend of high performance, robust security, and remarkable flexibility—all at an impressively low cost. Building on the success of the RP2040, the RP2350 features dual-core processing with a unique twist: you can choose between two Arm Cortex-M33 cores or two open-source Hazard3 RISC-V cores, selectable via software or OTP configuration. Running at 150MHz with 520KB of SRAM, this chip is ideal for demanding applications like real-time control, edge AI, and secure IoT systems.

That's it for this week for us at SparkFun (See? Like we said, it's a short week this week!). As always, we can't wait to see what you make! Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn. Please be safe out there, be kind to one another! Happy hacking!

Never miss a new product!
