Today, Welcome back to another Friday Product Post here at SparkFun Electronics! We have a smaller week this week, but we promise that if you are interested in robotics, you'll love what we have (don't worry, we have something big cooking for next week). This week, we bring the REV Robotics Smart Robot Servo (SRS) Programmer into the SparkFun Catalog! This programming-free robotics controller is the perfect mate for the REV Robotics Smart Robot Servo we released last month, but it also works just as well with any other standard RC servo. Let's take a closer look!

The REV Robotics SRS Programmer is a handheld configuration tool and servo tester designed to unlock and manage the smart features of the Smart Robot Servo (SRS). It lets users switch between continuous rotation mode, custom angular limits, or reset to factory default operation—all with a simple button press and LED feedback. Operating as a standalone servo tester, it outputs pulses from 550 µs to 2450 µs and can control standard RC servos directly.
Like we mentioned above, the REV Robotics Smart Robot Servo was added to our catalog last month, and is a configurable metal-geared servo that can function as a standard angular, custom-limit angular, or continuous-rotation actuator all via simple programming with the optional REV SRS Programmer. The smart servo takes conventional PWM input and adds the ability to set travel limits or unlock continuous spinning, reducing the need for mechanical adapters or permanent modifications.
