We've put Septentrio's latest on a new breakout and have incorporated it into our GNSS Flex system.
Hello and welcome back to a big Friday Product Post here at SparkFun Electronics! This week, we are happy to announce that Septentrio's new mosaic-G5 (specifically the P3 version) is now on SparkFun Red! We are happy to not only develop a breakout for this state-of-the-art GNSS receiver, but we've also added it to our GNSS Flex ecosystem. That means if you want to make your Raspberry Pi or NVIDIA Jetson Orin GNSS-capable, this is the current latest and best way to do so! Also this week, we have a new multi-band GNSS helical antenna with a locking SMA connector.
Before we get to this week's new products, please be aware that we are only TWO WEEKS away from Christmas and Hanukkah starts this Sunday! Some shipping dates to ensure that your package arrives before these days have passed and the deadline is getting close for the others. We've put together a Holiday Shipping 2025 Deadline page to help you with all of these dates! And if you need some help picking out the perfect electronics gift, make sure to check out our Gift Guide Page!
Achieve survey-grade, millimeter-level precision in your most power-sensitive projects with the SparkFun mosaic-G5 P3 Allband GNSS RTK Breakout. With Septentrio's mosaic-G5, you'll receive a compact GNSS peripheral that delivers the same leading performance as the mosaic-X5 but in a package that is 60% smaller and consumes 40% less power. This breakout is the preeminent choice for surveying, robotics, and other IoT applications where size, weight, and power (SWaP) are critical constraints.
Equip your Raspberry Pi with survey-grade, millimeter-level precision without compromising on power or space using the SparkFun mosaic-G5 P3 GNSS Flex pHAT. This all-in-one Raspberry Pi peripheral combines our GNSS Flex pHAT with the SparkPNT mosaic-G5 P3 Module, featuring the same compact and energy-efficient receiver on the breakout above. Don't worry, this pHAT also works with any SBC that is equipped with a 40-pin GPIO, including the NVIDIA Jetson Orin™ Nano!
The MAN1216Q50 is the "Locking" version of our multi-band GNSS helical antenna. It offers the same high-precision L1/L2/L5 reception as the standard model but adds a specialized three-screw flange at the base. Internally, it uses a Quadrifilar Helix structure that provides excellent gain and wide-angle circular polarization. This ensures reliable reception of low-elevation satellites, even when the antenna is tilted or maneuvering.
That's it for this week at SparkFun. Make sure you have everything you need from us before it's too late! If you aren't already a subscriber to our New Product Newsletter, you really should be!
