Our Qwiic ACS37800 Power Meter is now in SparkFun Red!
Hello everyone and welcome back to another Friday Product Post here at SparkFun Electronics! This week, we are pleased to showcase our latest SparkX graduate, the Qwiic ACS37800 Power Meter! This small board packs a big punch by allowing you to monitor voltage and current of power intensive projects simultaneously. Let's take a closer look at it, shall we?
The SparkFun Power Meter is a comprehensive power sensing solution built around the Allegro ACS37800 power monitor IC. Designed to slide seamlessly into your next Qwiic project, this board allows you to monitor voltage (up to 60VDC) and current (up to 30A) simultaneously without cutting traces or managing complex wiring. It is the perfect tool for tracking power consumption in high-demand systems like 3D printers, UAVs, and solar panels.
Unlike traditional sensors that rely on hot, inefficient shunt resistors, the ACS37800 uses Hall-effect technology to measure current.
But wait, there's more! The Qwiic ACS37800 Power Meter is plug-and-play ready with our DataLogger IoT boards! The DataLogger IoT automatically scans, detects, configures, and logs various Qwiic sensors plugged into the board (No soldering! No programming!).
That's it for this week! If you aren't already a subscriber to our New Product Newsletter, you really should be. As always, we can't wait to see what you make! Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn. Please be safe out there, be kind to one another! Happy hacking!
