We now carry Hakko's very own solder reel, which should help you keep the solder coming smoothly!
Hello everyone and welcome back to another Friday Product Post here at SparkFun Electronics! We have a smaller week this week, but we are also going to look at a few products that we've had on our site that should help you use this new addition to our catalog. What product is it, you might be asking? Well, it's Hakko's Solder Reel! This handy workbench tool helps keep solder dispensing smoothly without any kinks or interruptions. But, you are going to need a soldering iron and solder to use it with, so make sure to check out Hakko's FX-888DX Soldering Station and two versions of our special SparkFun blend of solder as well!
Increase work efficiency and organize your bench with the Hakko 611 Solder Reel Stand. This simple tool keeps your workspace neat by smoothly drawing solder wire as needed. No more fumbling with loose rolls or untangling knots, just a clean feed ready for your iron.
The Hakko FX-888DX Digital Soldering Station improves the user interface from the FX-888D using a more intuitive method for adjusting temperature and includes a parameter lock to prevent accidental digital calibration of the station when attempting to change temperature. The new temperature dial combined with the digital display makes it easier than ever to set and see the temperature while also increasing its power.
We don't say this lightly: this might be the best solder on the market, and we offer it in 0.020" (0.5mm) and 0.32" (0.8mm) diameters! This "Special Blend" wasn't just picked from a catalog; it is the result of a quest to find the perfect alloy for our own production lines here at SparkFun. After testing numerous options, this formulation outperformed them all and is now the only option we want to use.
That's it for this week! If you aren't already a subscriber to our New Product Newsletter, you really should be. As always, we can't wait to see what you make! Shoot us a tweet @sparkfun, or let us know on Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn. Please be safe out there, be kind to one another! Happy hacking!
