College of Eastern Idaho Hosts Ag Tech Robotics Challenge Featuring the AgXRP!

Organized in partnership with the University of Idaho Extension, the free event focused on agriculture technology, coding, and problem-solving.

University of Idaho Brings Ag Technology to Life with AgXRP Robotics Challenge

More than 40 high school students from across eastern Idaho recently put their coding and problem-solving skills to the test at the first-ever Ag Tech Robotics Challenge hosted by University of Idaho Extension and the College of Eastern Idaho.

Using the AgXRP platform, student teams programmed robots to complete agriculture-inspired challenges that introduced them to real-world technologies used in modern farming, including sensors, automation, and data-driven decision making. The event brought together students for a day of hands-on STEM learning, collaboration, and competition. By combining robotics with agricultural applications, participants gained firsthand experience with the technologies helping shape the future of agriculture.

The event got great coverage from two local news sources, East Idaho News and Local News 8. Both articles feature great videos - check them out!

We're proud to see AgXRP helping educators create engaging learning experiences that connect students with the future of agriculture. A huge thank you to University of Idaho Extension and the College of Eastern Idaho for making this event possible and inspiring the next generation of agricultural innovators!
