Get hands-on with embedded machine learning in this virtual workshop - collect data, build your first models, test and deploy them using Edge Impulse and Himax.
A few months ago, our partners at Edge Impulse brought up the idea of hosting AI workshops and asked if SparkFun wanted to be involved - of course, we said yes. Not only are we fans of Edge Impulse, but our ML community continues to grow and we have some awesome partners in common with Edge Impulse. The first of these workshops is jointly hosted by Edge Impulse, Himax and SparkFun:
Get hands-on with embedded machine learning - collect data, build your first models, test and deploy them using Edge Impulse and Himax in a virtual workshop.
You'll learn how to classify different smells/fragrance with the Himax WE-I Plus board and the TVOC sensor from the SparkFun Qwiic Environmental Combination breakout. You will collect and train your machine learning model using Edge Impulse. Finally, you will deploy your own custom model back to the board and classify your samples in real time. Be sure to bring your collection of perfume, fragrant food, drinks, etc. and let's hack things together!
To ensure you have everything you need for the workshop, we have put together an all-you-need hardware package that will be sent to you once your register. It includes the Himax WE-I Plus (with soldered headers), a USB microB cable, a Qwiic-to-female header cable and a Qwiic Environmental Combo board.
Edge Impulse is the leading development platform for embedded machine learning, used by over 1,000 enterprises across 10,000 ML projects worldwide. We are on a mission to enable the ultimate development experience for machine learning on embedded devices for sensors, audio, and computer vision, at scale. From getting started in under five minutes to MLOps in production, we enable highly optimized ML deployable to a wide range of hardware from MCUs to CPUs.
