Introducing SparkPNT: A New Home for High-Precision Positioning Products
For years, we've been working to make high-precision GNSS technology more accessible. What started as experiments within SparkX eventually grew into a family of products used by surveyors, researchers, roboticists, farmers, and engineers around the world.
Today, we're excited to announce the next step in that journey: the official launch of SparkPNT.
SparkPNT is a new company dedicated to Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) products. While it operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of SparkFun Electronics, it has been created as an independent organization focused specifically on professional-grade GNSS solutions.
From SparkX Project to Independent Company
Many SparkFun customers are already familiar with products like the Facet series, RTK reference stations, and our timing solutions. As demand for high-precision positioning products continued to grow, it became clear that the GNSS ecosystem deserved a dedicated home. SparkPNT was created to provide that focus while still benefiting from more than twenty years of SparkFun's experience in product development, manufacturing, supply chain management, and global distribution.
The result is a company built around a simple idea: high-precision positioning technology should be accessible, reliable, and adaptable.
Own What You Buy
One of the principles guiding SparkPNT is a belief that customers should truly own the equipment they purchase.
Rather than locking users into proprietary ecosystems, SparkPNT products are designed around an "Own. Upgrade. Repair." philosophy. The goal is to provide tools that can evolve alongside customer needs while remaining transparent and serviceable in the field.

Launch Product Lineup
SparkPNT launches with a growing family of GNSS and timing products, including:
- Facet FP: A rugged, IP67-rated modular GNSS receiver line designed for high-precision positioning with flexibility, serviceability, and long-term upgradeability. The Facet FP is available in 7 different configurations with a range of performance options.
- TX2: A high-precision quadband GNSS receiver with RTK and Galileo HAS support for centimeter-level positioning. Designed for surveying, it features an IP67 waterproof enclosure and integrated antenna for reliable field deployment.
- SXM-E Reference Station: A high-precision dedicated continuously operating reference station with an advanced web-based control interface that can act as an NTRIP Caster.
- SXT and SXT-D GNSSDO(+): These ultra-precise timing units provide enhanced frequency stability, and allow the reception of timing correction service AtomiChron® for accuracy better than 1ns.
Together, these products support applications ranging from surveying and mapping to robotics, agriculture, infrastructure monitoring, and precision timing.
